While all of the strategies and practically all of the
commands we show you work on NT and Unix alike,
there are
some additional features in ClearCase on NT that you'll
want to use and we'll show you how!
You'll learn about the ClearCase Explorer, which provides
a graphical interface for all the view, vob, branch and
label commands, and more. Most of the commands that you
execute on the command line are available through the
Explorer.
You'll learn about the Merge Manager which keeps
track of where you are in a merge. It helps you
do what findmerge does with fewer manual steps.
You'll learn about the ClearCase Details graphical
tool which shows information about files in your view.
Plus you'll learn NT specifics about views and
vobs, and
the course will touch on compatibility issues
across Unix and NT environments.
All this will become part of the standard Learn ClearCase course.
We want the Timefold courses to work with your company's
policies and procedures. As a special service to
corporate customers, the Timefold web site will provide a
page where your company can maintain its own set of
links. Those
links will automatically be appropriately placed throughout
the courses and web pages of the Timefold site. Your
company's
links will only be accessible to users with licenses
associated with your company. Your company's engineers
can use the links to
browse directly from the Timefold web site into your
own policies and procedures intranet web.
What does that mean?
It means that when your engineers are taking a Timefold
Online course they will see links to your own policy and
procedure web pages. It means that the Timefold site
can be an integrated part of your own internal training
materials. It means your engineers will not only learn
the ClearCase product and how to use it, they'll also learn
your own policies and procedures at the same time so they
can use it they way you want them to use it.
The Company Policy Links feature is only for corporate
customers who buy multiple training licenses.
A separate annual license fee applies. That
single license fee entitles all of your engineers to
use the Company Policy Links, no matter how many
course licenses you have!
