Most people who go to Burning Man for more than a couple days would like to take a shower. In fact it is illegal to dump untreated shower water onto the playa. This is considered gray water and it is pollution -- inconsistent with a "Leave No Trace" ethos. So, some people try to use evaporation pools to get rid of their gray water, but these are problematic to say the least (see my evap pool rant ).
So, I developed the Nosefish shower for my camp. I was able to assemble it in about 4 hours using PVC fittings, some wood and some drywall screws, plus a few specialized parts.
I put together a set of web pages which show step-by-step instructions on how to build the Nosefish shower. It includes a complete list of tools and materials you'll need.

If you build one of these, drop me a line and let me know how it went. I'm at hoco@timefold.com. If something wasn't clear in the instructions, let me know and I'll try to fix it. |
